Leave requests
Pick the leave type, date range, morning or afternoon (for a 1-day leave) and reason. The form shows the counted leave days and the days left after the request.
Employees submit leave or overtime requests in hOne, and approvers see the balance and warnings right away. Approved requests flow into the timesheet and payroll with no re-typing.
Requests arrive on Zalo, leave balances sit in the accountant's notebook, overtime hours are told verbally. At payroll time nobody is sure which number is right.
hOne counts leave days against each person's own work schedule, skipping holidays and non-working days. Balances come from the actual requests. Overtime has hour caps, and going over a cap needs an admin note before approval.
Pick the leave type, date range, morning or afternoon (for a 1-day leave) and reason. The form shows the counted leave days and the days left after the request.
Ready-made types: annual, sick, marriage, bereavement, maternity, unpaid and other. Each is marked paid or unpaid, and unpaid leave reduces paid days.
Annual leave defaults to 12 days, plus 1 day per 5 years, pro-rated by month for mid-year joiners and leavers. Set a different amount per position or person.
Approvers see warnings for exceeding the balance, overlapping a business trip or days already worked. The company can switch on a hard block for requests over balance.
For approved requests, the approver can revoke the whole request or shorten it when plans change.
Submit by date, start and end time, project and reason. The day type (regular, rest day, holiday) follows the employee's own schedule.
Defaults are 4 hours on a working day, 12 on a rest day or holiday, 40 a month and 200 a year; adjustable. Going over the monthly or yearly cap needs an admin note to approve.
Set a policy per leave type: forfeit the rest, carry up to N days (with an expiry) or carry without limit. Preview, then run for the whole company.
In Admin → Attendance, use Leave & Tenure for leave amounts, tenure and carry-over, and Payroll settings for overtime multipliers and hour caps.
Go to Attendance → Leave or Overtime and press Create request. A request that is still pending can be cancelled by its owner.
The Requests to approve tab shows the balance and warnings. Approve, or reject with a required reason. Your own request needs someone else, unless the company lets a sole admin self-approve (which is logged).
Paid leave, unpaid leave and approved overtime hours appear in the timesheet. Unpaid leave deducts days, and overtime goes onto the payslip with its multiplier.
Lan at Company ABC asks for 2 days of annual leave. Minh is her team lead and approves.
Yes, when the leave is exactly 1 day: choose Morning or Afternoon, with hours taken from your work schedule. Admins can also create requests with specific hours when assigning leave to an employee.
By default hOne warns the approver with Over balance and the approver decides. The company can switch on a hard block for requests over balance.
Approved overtime goes into the Overtime pay line of the payslip, using the default legal multipliers: 150% on a working day, 200% on a rest day, 300% on a holiday, plus a night premium. You can change the multipliers in Payroll settings.
hOne carries leave over by the policy you set: forfeit, limited or unlimited carry-over. With no policy set, the remainder is forfeited. If your company pays out unused leave, the amount is added to the payslip as an extra earnings line.
Admins, people with the approve-leave permission, or a team lead for members of their team (including sub-teams). A request from the approver themselves needs someone else.
